Estambul, 1942. Un hombre descubre a una chica en su jardín, inmóvil bajo la lluvia de verano, como una aparición. Fascinado por la belleza de la desconocida, Sabri intenta vencer el deseo de verla otra vez. Pocos días después, la muchacha vuelve a aparecer en el jardín. Esta vez será un paseo por las orillas del Bósforo lo que conducirá a Sabri a las puertas de la infidelidad. Los claroscuros de las ilustraciones del artista libanés Hassan Zahreddine transmiten el aura melancólica y pacífica que envuelve a Sabri y a la misteriosa joven.
